Client list is not updating for all devices

No, i'm talking about this. As I said before, when I login in the router GUI and open the Client List, it is incorrect, after some seconds it updates with the actually connected clients, then updates Home Assistant too.

Client list is not updating for all devices

I understand, but that's not how Home Assistant integration works with Asus, unfortunately. It relies on the Client List.

Client list is not updating for all devices

I tried to run the suggested command but doesn't do anything in my case oliver@RT-AC86U:/tmp/home/root# killall asusdiscovery killall: asusdiscovery: no process killed So no solution?

Client list is not updating for all devices

Hello, I have an RT-AC86U running 386.11 Merlin firmware and only recently I started to see an issue with the client list. I relied on the client list for a long time without issues - this feature allows Home Assistant to know if a device is connected or not. Since a couple of months I noticed...

    AC86U overheating

I replaced the CPU thermal pad yesterday and I haven't broken anything, this is success! :) The CPU temp is not great, but has dropped by at least 15°C. I think is enough to make it last.

    AC86U overheating

I ordered the one that was recommended (2.5mm), I didn't know the exact spec. Radios hover around 50°C so I don't think I will touch them, especially after you said should be 3mm. The Amazon delivery is coming early than expected, later today I should receive the pad and make the swap. Fingers...

    AC86U overheating

Alright, I purchased the pad recommended by @Tivi - 2.5mm My radios are fine, just need to change the CPU pad. Thanks for the help, I'll let you know

    AC86U overheating

If opening an AC86U is similar to AC68U (video here) I'm comfortable to replace the pads!

    AC86U overheating

Yeah, I get it. I meant what fan should I get to not kill this hot boi :)

    AC86U overheating

Do you recommend a 120mm 800 rpm fan powered via USB or something else? To be honest I don't want to replace this router, other than this temperature problem works perfectly fine and I'm not yet into the WiFI6 world. And the AX86U costs a lot more of what I paid the AC86U two and half years ago :(

    AC86U overheating

@Oracle in your post you wrote: I have extra thermal paste lying around. Is this something that can be done easily like on a PC?

    AC86U overheating

Allright, thanks for the recommendations! I have to purchase a USB Fan however. Is there a way to replace thermal pad or something similar? I'm not very handy with this kind of work.

    AC86U overheating

Hi, I'm running Merlin 386.5_2 on my RT-AC86U, since more than 2 years. Today I've noticed that there's only one CPU in the dashboard. Tools > Temperatures: 2.4 GHz: 50°C - 5 GHz: 56°C - CPU: 96°C The router is idling, there are 12 devices connected in total, but I'm not doing anything...

    DDNS constantly updating

I don't have the time to reboot and test now, but I'm sure it matches the issue you reported, therefore still needs a proper fix.

    DDNS constantly updating

No I haven't, but I guess won't change much. I didn't know about this feature. Thank you! I will definitely enable it. Attached the sanitized screenshots. I configured DOT in WAN settings for both IPv4 and IPv6. In IPv6 I set the router's link local address as DNS server. That's what the...

    DDNS constantly updating

Totally correct! Tested now and WAN address doesn't change. This is what I expected since my ISP claims to provide a static IPv6 to me. Looks like Windows devices rotate their IPv6 address, instead others devices keep the same address. Is this normal? I expect IPv6 device addresses to be...

    DDNS constantly updating

Well, my new provider uses PPoE for WAN and I get IPv6 via DHCP-PD. Yes, I have a native IPv6, but according to my ISP: - IPv4 is dynamic - IPv6 is static Yes, they are! I am on a dual stack with native IPv6. No, I made this post because DDNS client is triggered every 5-10 minutes, but my...

    DDNS constantly updating

My provider offers a dynamic IPv4 and a static IPv6. I need a DDNS for IPv4 :), in fact it's the only DDNS option I configured.

    DDNS constantly updating

Hello, I wasn't expecting your answer here. My setup is pretty standard. My IPS uses IPv6 and I also use DDNS as you. So have you actually modified the firmware to remove the inadyn output? It still doesn't solve the root cause of being triggered every 5/10 minutes, though. Additionally, this...

    DDNS constantly updating

Hello! I've moved to a new house and new ISP provider, just reconfigured the WAN settings. Since then I see the DNS plugin updating every 5-10 minutes. I see dhcp6c, so I guess might be related to IPv6: my previous ISP supported IPv6 with a 6rd implemnetation, the current one is native. I...
