    YazFi YazFi v4.x

I see. Can you then look at this topic and answer me if the settings I have should trigger the action described there

    YazFi YazFi v4.x

I have RT-AC56U router with john fork (374.43_49E4). I wanted to set the LAN devices to connect to devices in the guest network (One way to guest - YES), but there is probably a bug. Initial scenario as in the pictures. Guest network - Enable Addon YazFi - OFF When I turn on the guest...

YazFi - Unexpected interaction between LAN and Guest Network

I have RT-AC56U router with john fork (374.43_49E4) and I have guest network enabled. I also have the YazFi add-on. I want the LAN device to see the devices on the Guest Network, and I do not want the devices on the Guest Network to see the LAN. I try to set it up in the YazFi add-on, but it...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

I also had a similar problem. Before that, I had Merlin a few years ago. I did the update using the Firmware Restoration application. On the first computer, I got a message like you every time. The installation was fine on another computer. On both Win 10 64bit computers.

YazFi YAZFI error on johns fork version "3.0.0.4.374.43_46E8j9527"

I have never installed add-ons on a router before. Should I add this line to the file (which?). If so, does it matter where - the beginning or the end? I'm a child of M$ Windows.

OpenVPN server (TAP) separated from the router

I have a situation like the diagram. 1. Devices and computers on these two networks can see each other - they are connected by a TAP tunnel (this type of tunnel is required). 2. The OpenVPN server is running on Router "A" and must stay here - Router "B" is behind NAT. 3. Only one device...

YazFi YAZFI error on johns fork version "3.0.0.4.374.43_46E8j9527"

Yesterday I installed the 374.43_49E4j9527 firmware to my RT-AC56U (thanks john9527 for your work). Before that, I had and used Merlin for several years. I did the updates mainly for YazFi, but unfortunately I can't install it. I do this via amtm and get the message: YazFi: Welcome to YazFi...

    SSH Tunneling

I can connect to my router via ssh but unfortunately firefox won't work with this tunnel. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR When I tunnel to another server with the same putty settings, everything works fine.

    SSH Tunneling

Can I ask the forum maintainer to edit the above post, which I have just edited, and remove the spaces in the CODE field next to the paths: /etc/( )passwd /etc/( )group /etc/( )shadow I don't know why, but without this space I couldn't post on the forum. Is this a bug in the forum? After that...

    SSH Tunneling

I read carefully the link you sent me, as well as others like it. If I understand correctly, all the concerns are about SSH login as root. I think that after meeting a few conditions, what I want to achieve will be safe for my network: - change of port for SSH, - creating a new account as...

    SSH Tunneling

I understand. Can you give more details about the security risks in SSH?

    SSH Tunneling

I know this can be achieved using openVPN. However, I think OpenVPN is more suitable for bigger tasks. I don't need to connect to another network to be part of it when I just want to browse the website. SSH is probably more appropriate in this case. I even think that SSH is less demanding on the...

    SSH Tunneling

I know the topic is very old, but it describes exactly the problem I have. I want to create an SSH tunnel for a web browser. I don't want it to be used in the root/admin account. Is there a way to create a read-only user? Only for SSH tunnel?
