Release ASUS RT-AX88U Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_32843 (2023-11-27)

Definitely code related. Backed out and no issues at all. Spent 1.5 hours waiting for a chat with asus to open a ticket. I gave up. I just wanted to get a ticket number so I could put that in the feedback field. Ridiculous system.

Release ASUS RT-AX88U Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_32843 (2023-11-27)

There is something going on. My wireless devices take forever to connect after reboot. My Wan just dropped as well. Rolling back to see if issues persist. Also it takes forever for wifi clients to join after a reboot.

Release ASUS RT-AX88U Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_32843 (2023-11-27)

My 88pro is getting these messages: Htb: too many events Any concern? Or is it just saying there's too many messages to log?

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

If you are having problems getting logs due to reboots then set up a syslog server at home and forward the logs to it. Kiwi syslog is free. It's just a small app that runs on any Windows machine that listens on udp 514. The free version can listen to 5 hosts.

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

For me something changed with 388.3. With flexqos 1.3.2 and 388.3 I was getting reboots. I tried the 388.4 betas but continued to have reboot issues. 388.2.2 with flexqos 1.3.2 was rock solid for me with the few custom rules I was using. I spoke to Merlin and we troubleshot a wan issue but we...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

nope. If I'm not using my own rules then I have no need to use flexqos at all. My point is that flexqos 1.3.2 with the patch listed by Dave still doesn't work for me on 388.4

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

Why is my wireless LAN speed slower than my wireless internet speed on AX86U?

are you testing with the same laptop for wired and wireless? Technically, if both devices are on the same switch, it now handled by the switch and not the router. If it's the same laptop, then yes there is definitely something up with the wireless handling. If it's a different laptop are you...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

Anything that can be buffered can be put at the bottom of the list. PCs or devices that can buffer the playback like youtube videos, netflix, etc go to the bottom. This includes anything like Udemy. Realtime apps should go at the top: zoom, webex, voip, video conference. There is no buffer...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

Ya, different strokes. I have about 30 devices that can take or leave QoS. Gaming, Dropbox, Netflix, Prime, Disney, VOIP, Work from home, torrenting, MS Teams. Even with everything full bore QoS adds little benefit for me. Teams, gaming and Voip phones all work fine. Everything else can...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

Understood. I try to refrain from using qos at all unless I have saturation. There's always added latency when the router has to tag every flow. I'm certainly not defending Asus if they have botched something.

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

I wouldn't put too much stock in Bufferbloat. There are too many factors involved and I've run tests back to back before where a C magically turns to an A with no router config change and vice versa. We simply can't control the whole path nor control their internet feeds. Having said that...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

that's exactly what I listed above in my post. I narrowed all of my issues down to flexqos APPDB. This was the response "If plain Adaptive QoS works for you, just stick with that, or CAKE." I like flexqos but if they aren't going to support it, I guess I'm throwing in the towel. Having said...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

Added via GUi in the bottom drop down list on the flexqos page. When nothing was added to the default list, it worked. As soon as i added the 4 additional entries all hell broke loose. ive been working on this issue since beta came out. Skynet was working perfectly. I then Uninstalled flexqos...

FlexQoS FlexQoS issues with 388.4 HND5.04 models

found an issue with flexqos when running 388.4. I installed 388.4 installed skynet, no problems, added flex qos 1.3.3. all fine. the shirtstorm started when I added the following additions which caused instability and constant router reboots. ADDED in the dropdown list: (BOOM) roblox gaming...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

If that's the case, perhaps earlier versions were slicker and faster with their restart. Now when I add an entry, most devices fall off the network.
