    I just tried the AX86U alpha3. Mine is Gundam edition. It's unexpected that its Gundam's banner in its web interface is still reserved.

    Everything connected to 1Gbps LAN got stuck at 940Mbps. To go beyond that you need 2.5Gbps port or dual 1Gbps WAN. Single 1Gbps WAN speed test. Dual 1Gbps WAN speed test.

    Also its predecessor AC86U has 3 external antennas 1 internal antenna. I don't know why they just don't have 4 external ones.

    I saw somewhere else that the RT-AX3000 hasn't external 2.4GHz PN/LNA but the RT-56U has. This would effect their 2.4GHz speed/range which hadn't mentioned in your test.

    I saw this 4 antenna AX56U version in chinese apps. They carry the same model name but their price is significantly cheaper (399 CNY vs. 899 CNY). It's a bargain if they are electrically identical and Merlin firmware supported. Any idea?
