    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_51668 (2023/11/30 )

Curious, the RT-AC68U_V4 is EoL as per Asus. Is only revision "V4" end of life, or all of the AC68U models? It's still my main router in two homes (one running vanilla AsusWRT, one running Merlin). Edit: Looks like I found the answer here. Only the latest revision V4 was discontinued, but not...

    YazFi Support AiMesh Yet?

Or perhaps to choose "Router only" for the option "Guest network on AiMesh"?

    YazFi YazFi v4.x - continued

Just dropping in here to say that this add-on is fantastic and actually the only reason why I updated from stock AsusWRT to Merlin today (on my AC68U), just so that I could configure my guest networks in a much finer grained way. Thank you!

    Intel SS4200-E Lives Again

So it was fun reactivating my upgraded & fully loaded SS4200-E (see above) and playing around with OpenMediaVault, but I want to find a new home for it (well, really my wife wants me to). If anyone is interested, please PM me. Thanks.

    Intel SS4200-E Lives Again

I haven't measured the throughput yet (there's hardly any data on my array yet :)), but the OMV version I installed is the latest stable version 5.6.13. I have no prior experience with OMV, but have been using Ubuntu Server on another box of mine for many years. And as both OMV and Ubuntu are...

    Intel SS4200-E Lives Again

Thanks! So I assume your power LED is also blinking all the time then, right? How did you attach the 4 external drives? Two USB and two eSATA?

    Intel SS4200-E Lives Again

Howdie folks. I also recently resurrected my dust-collecting Scaleo SS4200-E. Was still rocking the ancient Windows Home Server installation. I wiped everything and installed OpenMediaVault on a 16GB USB stick (one of those teeny tiny ones that barely sticks out). I also obtained a PCI-E x1 to...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.40558 (05-Nov-2020)

Known issue. You just need to read the two posts right above yours for an explanation. Just use Guest network 2 instead of 1 and use the exact same SSID & password as before. Will work right away.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

All I can offer is that when I upgraded my 68U to the latest production "3.0.0.4.386_40558" firmware (which uses the new AiMesh model), my one AiMesh node was stuck on WiFi backhaul, even though on the previous FW it was recognized as an Ethernet-connection node. I tried a few things, and the...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

Try this: 1) Remove AiMesh node(s) from main router (through Web UI) 2) Power cycle the main router and nodes (full off, then on again, not just reboot) 3) Add mesh nodes back to main router. Hopefully Ethernet backhaul is now recognized. It worked for me on an AC68U that I recently upgraded to...

ASUSWRT 386 new guest network IP space and DHCP static IPs

I believe I have been a 'victim' of this new behavior on my AC68U. I am running my Asus router in AP mode. After the update, clients connecting to guest network 1 weren't able to be assigned an IP address by my main router (an OPNsense box) anymore. Switching from guest network 1 to 2 solved...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.40558 (05-Nov-2020)

That jives with what I have seen. Some of my smart devices had trouble connecting to guest network 1 after the update. I had to disable guest network 1 and create a new guest network 2 with the same SSID & authentication details. That made all my smart devices work again. EDIT: I should add...

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.40558 (05-Nov-2020)

Thanks for the heads up, I was unaware.

    Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.40558 (05-Nov-2020)

I had issues with my two RT-AC68U after this firmware update. One is the master, the other a mesh node. The mesh node didn't use Ethernet backhaul after the update anymore. No amount of rebooting and trying to turn it on helped. I had to remove the mesh node from the configuration entirely...
