    So, to be clear, as long as I use identical naming, the backup of my thumb drive could run on a completely diff device … a SSD enclosure type scenario … and everything will be hunky-dory…?

    Ethernet coupler broke my VPN

    tl;dr When I connected 2 Ethernet cables that run between my 5g home internet receiver and a PoE injector (which then connects to my router), my router-based OVPN client broke. Huge drop in download speeds, near total standstill in upload speeds (0.xx mbps) …. And huge packet loss (15%, 26%...

    Once upon a time I remember reading something about if the appropriate driver isn’t installed, QAT may still technically work, but its performance may be worse than if you hadn’t enabled QAT at all… but u can’t find the source anymore… (?) But maybe I’m misremembering?

    what happens is that every time I run the command, it returns a single IP address — not the same IP address.     How long have you been running since the diversion uninstall/reinstall? Did you load your settings for diversion from a backup or start from scratch?

    Yup. There hasn’t been. (There was one earlier this wk, but the issue predates that. Plus i only installed it yesterday.) —————— The weirdest part for me is that it’s only rectified by rebooting the router—not by rebooting the appleTV. Simply using scMerlin to restart the DHCP/DNS server...
