Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Odd. So far, I haven't had the issue since I disabled AIProtect by opting out of the privacy policy.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

After performing the tmpdcd fix, I get thousands of these zombie processes spawning until my router becomes unresponsive: 32654 admin 0 Z [shn_ctrl] 32661 admin 0 Z [shn_ctrl] 32663 admin 0 Z [shn_ctrl] That process appears to be related to AIProtect in some way.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Was 386.12 for the AC68U taken down? A few people said they installed it but I don't see it here.

    YazFi YazFi Configuration Lost

When looking at my router settings today, I noticed several of the following entries in my System Log: I believe I first configured YazFi about a month ago; possibly longer, but I'm not sure how long it was disabled due to the missing configuration file. Does anyone know what could cause...

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Quick update: I attached the AiMesh Node via ethernet (actually ethernet over coax) backhaul and have had no issues. The issue must be relegated to wireless backhaul only.

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Ahh, I see. So you made a DHCP reservation on your router as opposed to setting the IP statically on the node itself. Correct?

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Are you using it as an AiMesh node? I didn't think it was possible to configure a static IP for a node.

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Did moving it outside the DHCP range help?

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

    You're right. It's a B1

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Correct. It's the exact same firmware as the RT-AC68U

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Update: I bought a brand new RT-AC66U, updated the firmware to 386.1_2, reset to factory defaults, and connected it as an AiMesh node. It exhibits the exact same behavior. At this point, I can only conclude that this is a firmware issue and not a hardware or configuration issue.

386.1_2 Amcrest Cameras won't keep IP address Issue

Do you still have the issue If you set static IPs on the cameras? Are you pinging them by IP or DNS name? Is it possible that something else on your network is acting as a DHCP server? Can you ping them from the router? Do they appear in the DHCP client list on your router? Do they appear in the...

    386.1.2 AX3000 can't connect to AiMesh nodes

I've only used LAN to WAN with my RT-AC68U routers so try that first. I'm not sure if the AX3000 expects the same.

    386.1.2 AX3000 can't connect to AiMesh nodes

I couldn't see your attachment in the first post. However, have you tried connecting the nodes to the main router via a wired connection, just for provisioning? This has worked for me in the past when I'm unable to provision over wireless. Once the nodes are provisioned, you can move them to...

"Wireless Log" doesn't show AiMesh node connections

You can try the instructions in the following post but I have a feeling AiMesh is going to overwrite whatever you set: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/changing-channel-width-from-terminal.12432/ Maybe you would be better served to use AP mode since you're already using a wired backhaul.

"Wireless Log" doesn't show AiMesh node connections

There may be a way to do it but I wouldn't recommend changing it because it will probably break the connection to the mesh. Your nodes will always use the same channel as your primary router so if you need to change channels, change them on your primary router and your nodes will follow.

"Wireless Log" doesn't show AiMesh node connections

Yes, you can SSH into an AiMesh node via its IP address as long as your primary router has SSH enabled. The latest log can be found at /tmp/syslog.log

AiMesh node disconnect a few times a day

I'm having the same issue! Do you see several "wlceventd_proc_event(490): wl0.1: Deauth_ind" events prior to this?

AiMesh Node Dropping with Strange DHCP Entries

Greetings! I have two RT-AC68U routers in an AiMesh configuration. Both running 386.1. The AiMesh node seems to drop off a few times per day despite reporting "Great" connection quality prior to dropping off. I also noticed some very strange DHCP activity coming from the node (MAC...
