GT-AC5300 Mesh WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly

Thank for the help. The issue has been resolved. My ISP put a new end on my main line (small burn due to lightning strike) and replaced my modem with the lastest. This issue no longer appears in my router log and it has been stable for 2 days

GT-AC5300 Mesh WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly

Oh I am sure! They said they looked and all looked good! I know exactly what your saying. My normal mentality is everyone is an idiot and the forums are my go to! If only someone on any forum worked for the company’s we would have a complete circle of information. Instead they hire dumbos and...

GT-AC5300 Mesh WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly

My ISP spectrum says all is good with the modem and it’s the latest one. Signals are within acceptable range but on the lower end. Sending someone tomorrow to look but I am not holding my breath. Doesn’t seem like the problem but who am I

GT-AC5300 Mesh WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly

I recently added a 2nd node to my WIFI mesh system and recently while watching TV it will freeze every so often. I pulled the router log and this is what I am seeing. I just don’t know why! Doubtful it is because I added another node. It did seem to fix itself but it took a few minutes of...

    2 Ethernet 1 Wireless GT-AC5300 Rog

I decided to bite the bullet and run an Ethernet line direct to the second node. PITA to get the wire up inside my outside wall with insulation and add a wall plate. All is done now and the firmware is now the same as the other 2. I was hoping for a good wireless backhaul but the node speed was...

    2 Ethernet 1 Wireless GT-AC5300 Rog

Yes you have it perfectly. Reason I don’t want to remove the wired backhaul on the 2nd node is it’s to far away. Other side of my home 70’ away while one is in the basement and the other on first floor. I may try the Moca option as well. Right now all works well and I do actually have 5ghz-2...

    2 Ethernet 1 Wireless GT-AC5300 Rog

I have two GT-AC 5300 routers wired Ethernet backhaul. I recently acquired a third from my father in law which I added to my system wirelessly in my kitchen. The home is 5400sq ft with 2 acres and the third router has helped a lot filling in dead spots on my main level on the other side of the...

    GT-AC5300 mesh 2.4ghz shutting down

Problem is right back to the usual with the 386 firmware. Been testing it for a few weeks. iPhones have to disconnect and reconnect Wi-Fi to access the internet (safari). Text messages and other VoIP no issues. Just hangs when trying to use any app or browse the internet. Wi-Fi connection for...

    GT-AC5300 mesh 2.4ghz shutting down

I have followed this process. I am now back to the same symptoms as before. My routers are up and running and every light switch and other device, camera,tv…etc in my house is rock solid. Routers never miss a beat. EXCEPT: my iPhone 11 Pro Max as well as my wife’s and kids IPhone 11 and 8 is...

    GT-AC5300 mesh 2.4ghz shutting down

I will give it a try again now that there is a newer 386 firmware. I tried numerous times the 386 firmware and many others reported the same issues with iOS devices. Connected but nothing loads. It scares me because it takes hours to complete from scratch. Which I have done 2-3 times just as you...

    GT-AC5300 mesh 2.4ghz shutting down

Some background: I have 2 of these routers hardwired together. One in my basement the other on my main level. I have been fighting to get these to work and have a stable connection for over a year. I still cannot get my issue resolved. The problem: To start I have to run the 384 firmware...

GT-AC5300 with RT-AC5300 mesh node - No internet connection sometimes

Update from me as well. As my first post stated i rolled back to the AIMESH 1.0 with the 384 firmware on both my GT 5300 routers. Since then all devices work HOWEVER my mesh router (not the main one coming in) drops all 2.4 Ghz connections. How do i know this. When i login to my router and look...

GT-AC5300 with RT-AC5300 mesh node - No internet connection sometimes

That sounds like normal operation. If your mesh clients are not wired the 5g-2 AC band is your backhaul for the two clients to communicate.

GT-AC5300 with RT-AC5300 mesh node - No internet connection sometimes

Awesome, keep monitoring and report back any issues, especially if you have IOS devices. I am curious. Enabling bonding didnt make any difference for when I had tri band enabled. Are you setup was tri band or just 2.4 and 5-gz1

GT-AC5300 with RT-AC5300 mesh node - No internet connection sometimes

Interesting! And your 5ghz-2 is setup for Wi-Fi backhaul like my pictures above, Even though you may not use it since it’s connected via Ethernet cable? Just to be clear my devices never dropped the connection ever. It just didn’t allow my iOS devices to reach the internet even though it said it...
