QNAP - When hard drives go "BAD"

They are in a QNAP 839 Nas, I have not heard of them having a problem with overheating... the average temp according to the NAS is 29C. Not sure how I can verify if the PSU is bad, but the NAS seems stable overall.

QNAP - When hard drives go "BAD"

Thanks I was considering increasing to the 3tb drives anyway so I will go to reds next time. I agree it is a high failure rate... I wonder if my usage is just hard on them... I use a Raid 6, the capacity is nearly full (less than 1tb spare) and there is not a lot of traffic on them, but it is...

Sorry.. should have mentioned that.. I have tried just dropping out of pathfinder and using Finder.. same result.. Not sure if this would have anything to do with it.. but I noticed that my Imac and the router are both set to 1492 MTU, but the NAS is at 1500 and I cant seem to change the...

    QNAP TS809 Throughput inconsistencies

Hi there, I am trying to figure out why the upload speed to my NAS is so inconsistent. My Setup is i7 iMac, Dlink Gigabit Router, Airport extreme, and the QNAP 809. The QNAP is a raid 0. Most of the time I will get in the neighborhood of 60-90mb/s on a good day 100mb/s+ but from time to...
