    Onboard Ookla speedtest

Well I'm pretty sure there's nothing unusual about my home network, but I'm obviously the only person that sees these weird test results, so gremlins it is then. I'm glad we've cleared that up.

    Onboard Ookla speedtest

Thanks bbunge, but still not really the question I was asking. Could I refer you to my original post? It's the different results from different tests, conducted at the same time with the same network settings thats confusing me.

    Onboard Ookla speedtest

Thanks for all the replies, guys, most of which make sense and I undrestood. I guess my question was a little ambiguous. What I REALLY wanted to know was how, at the same time of testing, the results can be so different. And why....

    x3mRouting x3mRouting issue.

Thanks for the reply dave14305. As per Colin's telling-off, I've cut and pasted my post into AddOns. However, in answer to your questions....

    x3mRouting x3mRouting not deleted?

Thanks for the advice chongnt. No other addons that I'm aware of. I'll give that a try and update here. Busy drinking beer tonight so probably manyana... I can see in the system logs after reboot that something related to custom scripts in jffs is running (I've cleared the logs since last reboot...

    x3mRouting x3mRouting not deleted?

I played about with x3mRouting for some time earlier this year, but ran into lots of issues because I use Express and Nord, both of whom require 'Accept DNS Configuration' gets set to Exclusive, which causes x3mRouting major issues. I EVENTUALLY followed xentrk's advice, gave up on x3mRouting...

    Onboard Ookla speedtest

Internet speedtesting has confused me for years. I'm sure I'm going to get blown out of the water for this, but here goes. I pay for, and my ISP gives me 500mbps both ways. If I test from my AC86U running 386.2.4, using the onboard OOKLA, I regularly see 470mbps plus both ways. If I turn on...

Never seen this in log before. Anything to be concerned about?

So you do. I went in to Adaptive QoS to check internet speed because I was having problems, and jumped to entirely the wrong conclusion. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...

    AC86U connection stats

Yes. I just wondered why no stats for wired connections. Not to worry. Looks like a "feature".....

    AC86U connection stats

Yes, I was referring to that. And access time. Any idea why that is? Is it the same with stock firmware?

    AC86U connection stats

I'm running Merlin 386.2.4 on my AC86U. Anyone know why the connection stats page (Network Map/Connected clients list) shows no stats for wired connections?

    High RAM memory usage AC86U

I hear you, cmkelly, and bow to your seniority and experience. And I'm not sure that it was a ram problem causing my issues. I've had no problems up to a couple of days ago with my AC86U, so it may have been something else that my reboot fixed. However, I can see this morning that ram usage is...

    High RAM memory usage AC86U

Despite all that's been said here, my new AC86U was running 82% RAM, and for the last couple of days misbehaving badly. Connections kept dropping, slow response times, occasionally slow GUI response when logged in. I read the threads here and assumed all was ok with RAM. Lost my patience this...
