Yes I saw past posts on it. Was just looking for an update as last post in July said ”months from now”. I was just hoping Merlin would eventually support it. There now are many pro model routers out there now given Asus makes more than one pro line router. Im Hoping that one day Merlin...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 Beta is now available

Performed a dirty upgrade from the last release on my ax88u Pro. All seems ro be stable after a day. I also noticed the site survey is less glitchy that the last two builds so it looks like either the wlan drivers or tools were updated by asus. Thank you for great firmware and all your...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

Installed via a dirty upgrade on my AX88U from 388.3. No issues found yet but I have not analyzed loge as some have. Went very smooth and not sure if it’s my imagination but the WIFI seems to be faster on the 5GHZ side after some tests. Love the new WIFI log page with detailed radio information.

$300 too high. $249 is easy where I am. https://www.microcenter.com/product/663585/asus-rt-ax88u-pro-ax6000-wifi-6-dual-band-gigabit-wireless-router-with-aimesh-support

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

interesting… I wonder what happens if you don’t reset. I did a dirty upgrade of 388.3 the day it dropped and still no issues. I’m hesitant to reset as it would take at least an hour to reconfigure with all the custom settings / entware.

    AdGuardHome AdGuardHome New Release's 2023

it really depends how you compare AddGuard and Diversion. As far as amount of capability, AddGuard blows diversion away…. it Offers many options to tune DNS security and response times, view log statistics, and manage clients that Diversion simply does not have. As for the sole purpose of...

    RT-AX88U and TCP smart bulbs

Your problem is likely due to the bulb and has nothing to do with the router, firmware, or settings. I had a set of TP Link bulbs that worked great with my ac88u and later a ax88u. Eventually they would drop off every few seconds unless I set the WiFi 2.4ghz band to legacy compatibility mode...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.3 is now available for the RT-AX88U_Pro

Thank you @RMerlin ! Install with no problems and router seems to be running smooth. Does anyone know when VLAN support will be available for the Pro models. I noticed it is still not available with the latest GPL under LAN ->VLAN has shown in Asus documentation...

Thank you for the update. An important consideration with respect to Next DNS is what they do with your data. For some people it’s important, others not. The reason why I stuck with google, Cloudfare, and Quad 9 was they had great privacy policies. Glad to here Parallel is helping out. It...

Ordering makes no difference, it was simply the way I organized them for future reference. Thank you for testing alt quad 9. From what I’m reading, primary only filters reported malicious sites so that’s good for me. You welcome, I played a lot with that list and got my time down to 7...

Cloudfare (unless configured) , Google, Quad9 do not filter. All of them using the parallel setting. Fastest response is most important for me, Selection was best compromise for privacy considering all the dns providers selected do not keep logs more than 24 hrs. If I ever was really worried...

Help me Choose between RT AX 86U Pro Vs RT AX 88U Pro

Not necessarily better and the biggest reason it will not work for many is it has no Merlin support with the Qualcomm chipset. I looked at it and decided it was not going to work as soon as I saw no Merlin support and that I would need an additional switch to convert 10 gig to 2.5 Gig for my...

Domain names don't always seem to work well (exception quad 9) when configuring the upstream DNS servers but IPs with port number worked great for me. Leave DNS SEC on with the following upstream servers (I use the list in parallel to always get fastest response (am averaging 4ms) ...

Help me Choose between RT AX 86U Pro Vs RT AX 88U Pro

Either router would serve you well for a GIG connection for WAN. Whether you see GIG over WIFI depends on many variables but I bet you will see at least 600-700 mbs In 5ghz under most circumstances. Home structure and client Hardware wI’ll determine what you get. in optimal enviornments, I...

    RT-AX86S vs RT-AX86U vs RT-AX86U Pro

I can post chipsets model numbers later as I don’t have them. Multiple reviewers have already benchmarked the non Pro vs Pro and noted small improvements with the Pro. I have first hand experience and saw similar improvements in my home.
