    router was supposedly in a steady state if that is a result of booting up then the router is rebooting on its own and that's a problem

    yes username and password work with desktop app I flashed the router to ASUS firmware, then use the config file and get the same results, "Authentication failure" when turning on the service thinking something in router at this point?

    try selecting "Network Map" in the UI to refresh the info, worked for me, or refresh your browser

    @Tech9 Thanks for your input I did read all 12 previous pages and did not see any post with similar problems, that's why i made the post waiting to see if anyone else posted similar experiences and can see it is not unique to me I'll wait for the next release thanks again

    RT-AX86U & Cable IPTV STB on WIFI 5G v386.7_2 ='s rock solid v388.1 ='s constant buffering; last sec replay, wifi disconnects cause STB reboots downgrade to v386.7_2 and its rock solid again what should I be looking for?

    Naw I'm trying to fix Your ISP's DHCP does not function properly and was looking for some old firm ware I now know it does not go back that far with this model, which is about to meet the force end of a sledge thanx for your reply
