    RT-AX59U & TUF AX4200 (MediaTek Filogic 830)

Both have the same chip (radio 3x3:2), different antennas. The power of the radio is limited by regulations anyway. If you can return them, you can test both models at your place of use to see which one works best for you.

    Upgrading from RT-AX56U

Regular updates are required due to numerous bugs that require fixing in new firmware 3006. I have GT-AX6000 running the same firmware (3004.388.8.4) as RT-AX56U to avoid issues with the 3006 firmware... Of course, you can buy a new BE router – there's a chance for longer support. The RT-AX56U...

    Upgrading from RT-AX56U

There's no need to replace RT-AX56U. I have several installations with RT-AX56U and they work stably. I'm not aware of any security bugs that require fixing.

    RT-AX59U & TUF AX4200 (MediaTek Filogic 830)

You can choose any of them. Ideally, choose the one that you like best visually (and that your wife will approve of).

388.8.4 release seem to have cause AIMESH stability issue

No. As far as I remember a few releases ago there was a fix for AiMesh node problems in AsusWRT-Merlin. It is not required. You should choose - do you want AiMesh on WiFi or WiFi scheduler. If you want AiMesh on WiFi - disable WiFi scheduler. If you want WiFi scheduler - use Ethernet Backhaul...

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

I think @drousch should clarify their requirements and provide information on the number of walls on the floor and the material they are made of. For 2-3 walls I usually get 200-300 Mbps (not MB/s) speed without any problems. It can be really dense with wooden walls ;)

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

Yes, but and and Wi-Fi 6 is not 2,5 Gbps.

    Asus AX-GT6000 vs TP-Link EAP 670

    I suspect @drousch is thinking about 70-80 Mbps (not 70-80MB/s) ;)

Pro-sumer WiFi 6/6E routers with support for VLAN, VPN, SSH, and some custom firmware

No problem. If you want I can sell it to you for 1000 USD. ;)

    Malware damaging ASUS routers?

If you need AsusWRT 5 then ok. However, if the lack of updates is the reason you want a change then you should look for a router from other manufacturer. Vote with your wallet, otherwise you are showing that the lack of updates is a good marketing strategy.

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Exactly. It doesn't matter. It doesn't improve security. So why remove it? Why do you want to decide for them? Let them decide whether they want to continue using AiCloud or turn it off.

    GL.iNet GL-MT6000 or Asus RT-AX8800U

People discuss this because of BS tests. It's not about the present days but the speed of the connection. If you had 10 Mbps connection the problem could occur, but not when you have gigabit fiber connection. Asus = EoL in a few years. OpenWrt = EoL doesn't exist. In GLiNet website is a...

Asus RT-AX88U Pro or BE92U (or other)?

Can you move it to the first floor (so that it is in the center of the house - on the middle floor)? The cheapest one wins.

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Only for people who have it turned on, right? It doesn't matter to people who have it turned off.

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

AiCloud is a very important and valued feature. https://www.asus.com/content/aicloud/ IMHO It should not be removed. From what I read, almost all AsusWRT-Merlin users are advanced and do not use it. If I understand correctly, when it is disabled, it cannot be hacked. So why remove it if it does...
