    Changing hostname in Asus DDNS

I can try that, thanks for the tip. Although, when the "host name" changes, it seems a router-side issue rather than a DDNS one? This is the value that seems to have changed a couple of times, but I have to save/apply the name in the Asus router.

    Changing hostname in Asus DDNS

Hi I've been using Asus DDNS for a while now on my RT-AX86U, without any major issues. Over the last few months though, the "hostname" of my DDNS seems to have changed a couple of times. As I'm using CNAME records for my own domains to point to the ASUS DDNS, my services have been down at those...

When the main line fails and the modem detects that, internet access is switched to the dongle. This is great on paper. However, my ASUS router's MAC address is...

    Dual WAN & bridging modem

According to the ISP, the dongle won't work on the router (although I guess I could test it). As for DMZ, this is supposed to be supported, but I've seen people complain that the DMZ function is being deprecated by the ISP so this may not be a long term fix. Also, I'm running quite a few...

    Dual WAN & bridging modem

Hi My ISP provides me with a modem with a regular internet line and a backup, which is a 4G LTE USB modem plugged in to it. Today, during an internet outage, it appeared that the 4G backup wasn't working as my AX86U didn't receive an IP anymore. After discussing this with the ISP, it turns out...

OpenVPN client + server on single Asus router

Thanks for the tip! Indeed I was having overlapping subnets, so fixing that took care of the issue. Any tips around the personal certificate? Can this be used for the Asus services listeners?

OpenVPN client + server on single Asus router

Hi I've been troubleshooting OpenVPN on my Asus router for a while and finally seem to have pinned down my issue. From my Android OpenVPN client, I'm able to connect to the router, but can't reach anything (not the gateway, no LAN or internet IPs etc.) Now, I found that when I turn off my...
