How to allow incoming WAN connections for WireGuard clients?

Thanks for the input, everyone! While I'm not an expert in networking, your explanations made a lot of sense. After thinking it over, I came up with a workaround that seems to do the trick. For anyone else facing a similar issue, here's what I'm planning to do: Run a Gluetun container on...

How to allow incoming WAN connections for WireGuard clients?

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I can't seem to figure out, and I was hoping someone here might be able to help. Here's my setup: I have a Raspberry Pi running within my local network. The Raspberry Pi is behind a WireGuard VPN, which is configured on my router. I'm running a Shadowsocks...

Allowing Incoming WAN Connections for WireGuard Client Listed in Director

Could you elaborate on how you’ve set i up please? I have a similar issue. My RaspberryPi is connected to VPN through VPN Director. I want to host a Shadowsocks server there, so ideally it should work like this: Connection comes through WAN IP, router forwards the packets to my RPi, the...

It looks like Wireguard interfaces aren't yet supported.

    Conditional VPN routing

Hi all, I have an ASUS RT-AX58U router running the latest Asuswrt-Merlin firmware (388.1). I also have a Wireguard VPN client that is constantly connected to a VPN provider. As some site don't work well with VPN, I'm curious if there's a way to setup conditional VPN routing for specific...

Can't SSH to Raspberry Pi on LAN with VPN Director

Fixed it by disconnecting other VPN clients and leaving just one connected. Still not sure what exactly happened as everything worked well with four other clients connected, but the issue is now gone. Will be happy to provide logs if this is a potential bug material ;)

Can't SSH to Raspberry Pi on LAN with VPN Director

Hi all, I have a RT-AX58U router running 388.1 firmware. I also have a VPN client that is constantly connected to Mullvad VPN (in fact, five of them with only one being active at a time). The only VPN Director rule that I have is to forward traffic from all local devices through that very VPN...

Adding a port forwarding rule for Plex

I'm running it using Caprover which itself runs on Docker Swarm. So, I think it's not bridge, but overlay network. > sudo docker service inspect srv-captain--plex --pretty ... ... Resources: Networks: captain-overlay-network Endpoint Mode: vip Ports: PublishedPort = 32400 Protocol = tcp...

Adding a port forwarding rule for Plex

Hi @TheLyppardMan & @Smokey613, could you share how you’ve set it up in a way that it works locally? I have Plex running in a Docker container on my Raspberry Pi and it’s available through 192.168.0.xxx:32400. I restricted web access from the outside, so the web UI is only accessible locally. I...

    VPN Director rules and WAN

Hi @propofol, I'm not an expert on this, but from setup perspective everything looks alright. I have a similar configuration but with one noticeable difference – I don't explicitly assign my server (which runs on a Raspberry Pi) to WAN. My Raspberry Pi server has a manually set IP outside of...

Switch to another VPN client if no handshake/connection [Wireguard/VPN Director]

One thing is to turn it off, but what would happen if the client is on, but there’s no handshake or the handshake is there, but the traffic doesn’t go through? I believe if that functionality was there, there would be no need to develop a script that @Viktor Jaep mentioned above :)

Switch to another VPN client if no handshake/connection [Wireguard/VPN Director]

Thank you for this, I might give it a try in the future. But for now it would be great to find out if something similar is already built in.

Switch to another VPN client if no handshake/connection [Wireguard/VPN Director]

Hi all, This forum has been of great help and I really enjoy Asuswrt-Merlin firmware! I have a question about VPN setup. I have two Wireguard clients configured and I use VPN Director to assign IP ranges to route traffic through them. Initially, I had only one client (WGC1) and VPN Director...

Diversion Is there anyway to get Diversion working with OpenVPN Client in Merlin 388.1 RT-AX88U?

Could you please help me set this up right? I have a VPN server (WireGuard) on my AX58U. I have a static IP and everything works well, I can connect to it from a remote device. I also have a VPN Client setup on my router that connects to a commercial VPN (Mullvad). I would like all clients that...
