Cannot get VPN Server to allow me to access internal devices

Not sure why this is still a problem after 4 years! But the following solution solved my problem - added the code via SSH and problem solved. Does anyone understand what it actually does and why is it not in Merlin by default...

Cannot get VPN Server to allow me to access internal devices

Trying to access a RaspberryPi with VNC, cameras over Chrome and their native apps etc... When connected to my Wifi I can access it via my iPhone and the VNC app. When connected via OpenVPN, I cannot access it. Same with HomeAssistant running on the Pi on port 8123. PiHole is running and the...

Cannot get VPN Server to allow me to access internal devices

This is absolutely doing my head in and I have spent hours trying to solve it but am getting no where. I see that there are a number of threads on this, but none seem to solve my issue. I have the latest Merlin firmware - ISP Modem: 192.168.1.1 with DMZ setup for the Asus Router - Asus RT-AX88U...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

Hi all So I tested the firmware for 24 hours and it worked perfectly and the SONOS no longer disconnected. Asus said they are going to release the patch as part of their next firmware update. When I asked them what they issue was, they replied with: Q1: Out of curiosity, could you please let...

@Fuechslein @michael249478 @Jom76 would you like to test the beta firmware for me so I can give your feedback to Asus? It seems to have solved the issue for me. DM me and I can send you the link.

Do i need an IoT VLAN

But how does that work with things like: - LIFX Light Bulbs which have their own app - Phillips Hue which has its own app - Roborock Vacuum which has its own app - Tesla which has its own app All these need Internet to be able to control them. Lets say you block the internet, if they are in a...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

When you add ERA 300's and the Sub to the Arc in a Home Theatre configuration the Arc creates its own dedicated 5GHz network which the surround speakers connect to. When guest network pro is enabled, it messes with the DORA somehow and breaks this.

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

So Asus HQ have logged the issue; however, require assistance from SONOS to push a fix. I have also logged a case with SONOS but their support don't contact customers when working on cases, so I am in the dark on that front. I got feedback from Asus today saying that they are also going to reach...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

That is true but the newer speakers such as ERA300's don't support SONOSnet as they are working to get rid of it, so that isn't an option

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

Thanks for this @Jom76 So wait, are you saying that the speakers are requesting a DHCP address, the router is responding before the Sonos Arc has a chance. The Arc is expecting the Sonos speakers but is getting a offer from the router and can't translate it and then everything goes in an...

SONOS and Guest Wifi issue - solved RT-AX88U Pro

This issue has returned with the Guest Network Pro feature. As I have ERA 300's the SonosNet is not an option. I have logged the issue with Asus directly, since the issue was not present in the 3004.388.x firmware...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

What am I looking for? I am not sure it will show up because the process for Sonos is: - Arc connects to Asus via 2.4GHz (this always works no matter if Guest Network Pro is enabled or not) - Arc creates private 5GHz network (hidden SSID) - Era 300's and Sub Gen 3 connect to Arc private 5GHz...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

Just tried that as well - Customized Network - everything left standard. No change - still the same symptoms. Sonos connects to the main router - sits right next to it. From ChatGPT - not sure if it helps 1. Guest Network Pro Isn’t Just an Extra SSID On ASUS routers, Guest Network Pro...

Issues with Sonos since the latest update

I created the Guest Network Pro profile by clicking 'Guest Network Pro' in the right hand menu > selecting Guest Network > Providing a Name 'Waldhof 7' and entering a password. I set Wifi Schedule to enabled and to 7 days a week from 0700 - 23.45 active. I hit save I did not change any of the...
