    I have noticed a strange behavior with two different ASUS routers, both running current (3004.388.7) Merlin firmware on an RT-AX86U_Pro and an RT-AX88U_Pro.     Gotcha. But even so, nothing changed regarding the bandwidth on either frequency. Sounds to me like "I was happy with my v4 1.6 liter automobile engine, but once I upgraded to a v12 Viper the highway is now way too slow."

    Exactly. But OP seems to be implying that all other things being considered, when 2.4 worked for building penetration and throughput, now all of a sudden the throughput isn't enough?

    @Tech9, I have read that UNII-3 allows up to 900mw/29dbm, which would mean that channels 149+ would have the maximum power?

    Tailscale works fine for me, hardware acceleration staying enabled. On a RT-AX88U_Pro, RT-AX86U_Pro, AX86U, AX86S.

    Just another shoutout to @Viktor Jaep and everyone else on how great this is. I took the plunge and did a factory reset and built everything from the ground up. This script made installation of Tailscale almost seamless in comparison to the manual method!

    Neither. Because I have modified the script, AMTM and the script itself both report that an update is available. An option to disable ntp check would stop this from happening.
