    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

Thanks. How is the OS on the RT-AX88U Pro? Is the assumption that the RMerlin build is the way to go?

    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

Thanks. Years ago my firmware got very old and it was recommended that I flash it back to factory default and build up from there. It was suggested to put in all of my configuration back in manually and not use any kind of restore, which was honestly one of the bigger pains of the process...

    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

Yeah I am running an old version 384.19. I do not enjoy doing the whole wipe and reload and it has worked well for me for a long time so I haven't updated. If there is an easy upgrade path that doesn't require a full manual rebuild then I could do that pretty easily. Otherwise, its going to...

    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

It looks like my firewall script is being overwritten because the updated PATH statement is gone so I am getting curl errors. How can this be fixed permanently?

    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

Ok as I go thru Skynet more and more I find some things work and some don't. For example, when trying to enter bans, I get the curl errors. But if I go something basic like updating Skynet, that now works. So I am not sure why some things work and others get curl errors still.

    Skynet SkyNet 7.4.0

EDIT After making the PATH line edit and rebooting, it seems to be working now.

Skynet Curl "no URL specified" error when changing Skynet blacklist

I am having a similar experience. I just found that Skynet was not running and it seems like the USB was going bad. So I backed up the files from my old USB and formatted a new USB, installed amtm, entware, Skynet, etc. I did not restore any files *yet* because I am not sure what I can/should...

Skynet Help with Fixing Skynet Issue

Looking at the files, it looks like I had entware installed, which I don't even know if its a thing anymore. Some of the files do not want to copy over via scp. They are getting errors but most seem to be in the entware directory so I think the other files are good. Can I get a new USB, have...

Skynet Help with Fixing Skynet Issue

I know this is an old thread but I am hoping I can get some help. I am having the same or similar issue. I started getting the same error so I started with unmounting the usb, rebooting, then reinstalling. I can run the firewall script a coupe times but now it giving me a "firewall: line 5...

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

Just for reference if I did not mention it already, my Asus is connected inside of my ISP's router device. So I am essentially in a double-NAT situation. When I look at the skynet logs, I am surprised at how many blocks there are. I only have 1 port forwarded from my outside ISP device, which...

DNSMasq Config Help - Conditional Forwarding

Yeah when the problem started, I was finding that DNS responses for my internal domain were coming back as old entries. In other words, I would get IP resolution to old IP's for the name. The config should just forward that traffic and not try to resolve it from what I could see, but it...

DNSMasq Config Help - Conditional Forwarding

I do not know exactly what it looked like, but I am confident that it is virtually the same as it is now. The main difference is the DNS servers specified in the DHCP scope now points to my internal DNS servers instead of just using the router IP. dnsmasq.postconf #!/bin/sh CONFIG=$1 source...

DNSMasq Config Help - Conditional Forwarding

I had threads on here years ago on this subject but could not come to a full solution for the last problem so I'd like to try again. I have a DNS server that runs inside of my router that does DNS resolution for a specific domain that only runs in my house. Currently, I have those DNS servers...

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

Ok since this thread is here, I will re-use it. I found today that an IP from Microsoft got banned by skynet. No idea why, but it did. I unbanned it and the app worked again. As I was watching the firewall syslog (suggested from skynet post), I saw a string of outbound port 53 UDP blocks...

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

Thanks for the responses. Good info. I would like to prevent anything from certain places from hitting any of my open ports. I would also like to prevent users on my network from accessing anything from those places. Its just about trying to prevent outsiders from coming in and also users...

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

Thats strange. I searched for it from several sources and it came back US. The specific IP even comes back as (US) in the skynet logs.

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

I blocked a list of countries is for a few different reasons. For example, I would see constant logon attempts or ports accessed from certain countries. I blocked some of those countries for security. Another reason is because certain countries should never be accessed incoming or outgoing...

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

Thanks, I will check it out. Is there a replacement for SkyNet if it is abandoned?

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

I cannot get this to stop happening? Anyone have any ideas on this?

    Skynet SkyNet Blocking Subnet

So what is the best way to handle this or fix it? I do not want to keep manually removing that CIDR block every day.
