    It's divided in half. 6 GHz-1 can only use the lower control channels and 6 GHz-2 can only use the higher ones.

    The 96U has two 10G ports, so you can always buy an external switch if you need it. A 6-port 2.5G fanless switch costs about $50. If you want to go for a 10G switch, you can do it without replacing the router, and you might get better speeds between the wired connections on the external switch...

    It depends on what you are planning to use the extra channel for. 6 GHz has higher theoretical bandwidth, but lower range. Depending on how far you are from the router, you might get better real bandwidth from 5 GHz. If you live in an area with high population density, 6 GHz is less crowded...
