Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for AC models

Which is sad to think about because there is nothing wrong with these devices. I completely understand not being able to provide support forever but the AC models are still more than capable in this world. They're still 10x better than what my own ISP would be providing for a router. I guess it...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.14 is now available for AC models

Did I do something wrong? First time I've had a problem updating firmware. I get security warnings like the certificate is invalid now and all I can get to is this. I've rebooted and this is still all I see. edit: I can access the admin page through 192.168.1.1 but not 192.168.1.1:8443. I've...

    AC86U Chromecast Audio issue

I've had this issue for a long time with an older RT-AC88U. I factory reset once back to mostly defaults except passwords and that didn't solve it. I've played around with all of the wireless settings. Literally all have been changed to every option available and I would still get these...

    AX86U Pro vs AX88U vs AXE7800

I see comparison articles and posts but yours summed up the differences that matter to me the most so I appreciate that. The question I have goes back to the AC models and possibly the N series but my memory isn't what it used to be. It could just be me not paying enough attention. Currently it...

    Entware Transmission stopped working

What if you do: okpg upgrade --force-overwrite That's what solved my issue and it does seem a step further than what you did. I'm still curious why this broke. I didn't keep the log but more items than just transmission-daemon were updated when I did that.

    Entware Transmission stopped working

Is there a common issue that has been discovered? It seems like everyone is noticing theirs fixed for different reasons. I feel like we're all having the same issue but there is some common thread in all the ways we're using to troubleshoot the problem that ends up resulting in fixing the...

    Entware Transmission stopped working

For those of us who aren't going to go through all that, is there a solution at this point? I don't have the time to reinstall all my packages from scratch, not that I'm using that many. I've tried force reinstalling libcurl and that didn't work. I've tried updating Entware and the packages and...

RT-AC88U - Firmware v386.11 does not allow connection to AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro

My controller 69 connects. I haven't turned it on in a while but it connected and was on firmware 1.4.5. In the AC Infinity app I was prompted to update to firmware 1.4.9 and did that. It still connects. But mine is the 69 Wifi. I don't really see it listed on the site. Is the 69 Pro the...

    Ai Protection Google Email

I've had this problem for a while. I initially got it set up and the emails would come in no problem. After a firmware update along the way the emails stopped. After a while longer I factory reset the router and set that back up and it worked again. Then, at some point again, it stopped. I...

What is the better purchase between the AX88U and AX86U?

It seems like a few of the bigger retailers are OOS on the AX88U. Is this signaling anything beyond just a restocking issue? I'm a happy AC-88U user and my girlfriend needs a new router so I'd like to do the direct upgrade from 88 to 88. Amazon's last price on it was $299 but Newegg has it...

    Problems with CloudFlare DoT

That would be interesting. All these years and I assumed it would fall back to the secondary (and sometimes tertiary) if a site failed to resolve on the primary or secondary OR if the primary couldn't be reached. I didn't know it was a round robin. If it were, wouldn't that be a huge coincidence...

    Problems with CloudFlare DoT

I've been having this issue the last couple days and was using Cloudflare DoT. For whatever reason some sites just would not resolve. For me, one example was healthcare.gov. As soon as I switched to any other provider for DoT from the pre-selected list it would load fine. I don't really have...

    Upgrading an RT-AC88U from 384.18 to 384.19 - should I wait?

I haven't fully kept up with the current situation with router support but I thought there was speculation that AC88U support may be dropped as firmware updates were really lagging behind as it's an aging router at this point. Is it for sure getting 386?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

I could be mistaken but I think Windows has been precaching since Vista which would have been like 2005. Maybe XP was doing it before Vista but I don't recall that. I'm surprised some people are still in the "Winblows" days. Like I guess I know there are still people that don't do automatic...

    DNS-over-TLS (DoT) - How do I know it's working?

Well the default state is Connect Automatically... and empty fields. I'm not sure if it lets you revert to this state after you set it or if that would require a factory reset. And I think I remember doing some screwing around way back and I think even if you don't ever set a DNS server and also...

    DNS-over-TLS (DoT) - How do I know it's working?

I was under the impression that you could leave these populated and the router would only use these during bootup, before the DoT connection had been established. Otherwise if you clear these I believe your ISP's automatically assigned DNS servers would be used during this time. I guess it...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

QoS requires hardware acceleration to be disabled. You're not running into any sort of bug or problem. When you enable QoS the OS automatically disables the hardware acceleration setting for you.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

Oh my bad. I didn't know specifically it was about the ethernet port on the TV. I thought just streaming devices in general is what was being referred to. Hardwired is still superior outside of that case, though. Didn't mean to derail the thread, I just honestly thought I'd missed something...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

Has something changed or when did I miss wireless speeds eclipsing 1Gbps hardwired LAN?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

I think maybe if you disable NAT Acceleration under LAN>Switch Control you'll see a more accurate representation of the traffic passing through your wired network. Don't forget to re-enable it after testing.
