Hi I have just bought a new WD 3TB Passport portable hard drive to connect to my Asus RT-N66U.
I have managed to get it connected via Samba in the Asus settings, and mapped a network drive on my brand new Dell laptop running Windows 10 but when I try to wirelessly transfer files to the hard drive it's ridiculously slow, anywhere between 80kb - 200kb/s.
I've also noticed it takes a little while to load into folders even when not transferring anything, is this normal?!
As my new laptop has SSD of only 256GB I had hoped that this external drive could be accessed as another folder on my laptop so I'm getting frustrated that this wasn't as straightforward as hoped.
Please help!
Thanks
