New Around Here
I haven't found this addressed, and don't know enough about the tech to know if it's a silly question or not.
I am considering getting the new netgear xavb5501 powerline adapters to see if they are an improvement over what I currently have. I see that they have 3-prong plugs. My router is in a room in the old part of my house, where the outlets are 2-prong.
Aside from the standard "adapters are dangerous, you must be properly grounded" warning in the manual, will there be any throughput consequences from using a 3- to 2-prong adapter?
Thanks,
Ken
