376.49_5 IPv6 firewall blocking HE tunnel.

I upgraded from 370.40_beta2 (which was rock-solid stable with hundreds of days uptime) because of the IPv6 enhancements. Now I cannot connect via my Hurricane Electric tunnel if the IPv6 firewall is turned on.

The router is handing out IPv6 addresses and IPv6 functions internally -- I can ping other IPv6 computers on the internal network as well as the router's IPv6 address. However, I cannot successfully ping the other end of the tunnel or anything beyond unless I turn off the firewall.

With the firewall turned off, I have no problem connecting to the outside world via IPv6.

Please tell me there is a simple fix...

(forgot to mention: router is an RT-N66U)

I give up.

Unable to resolve this, I attempted a reset to the defaults, then manually entering the configuration.

First thing I discovered was that certain wireless security options are missing, notably "WPA Personal" with TKIP only. I have some older devices that don't play will with "WPA Auto Personal" with TKIP + AES. They generally don't connect and when they do, it's not for long. The missing options are there if I load the old configuration file back in, but the whole point of the reset to factory defaults was to get rid of any "contamination" from the older configuration. Catch-22.

I really don't know what I'm doing, but tried so many suggestions I found on the internet (mostly this forum) that I finally screwed something up so bad that eventually machines on the network stopped getting IPv6 addresses from the router.

I reverted to the old 374.40_beta2 I was using prior to this upgrade attempt and loaded the saved configuration file. Now everything is working again.

I'd love to try again, IF there is a way to specify WPA Personal instead of WPA Auto Personal.
