Hi - I've just updated my 87U to 380.65 and I've been going through the menus to see what's changed...

When I click on Advanced settings > Wireless > Wireless - General, I get prompted for a Country Code - I've never had that before in previous firmwares, and I can't see any Country Code field / setting.

I'm in the UK, so I guess it's probably going to be something like UK or GB ?

For the moment, I'm simply cancelling out of the dialog as I don't use my 87U's wireless (I have some really bad wireless dead spots, so I use PowerLine WiFi adaptors instead), and I have both 2.4 & 5 Ghz radios disabled

That looks a bit suspicious, I've never seen any dialogue window like that opening up on my RT-AC87U.

Yeah I'm getting it too GMT etc etc still get it even after setting it once

Weird. I checked on my AC3200 and it works as expected on uk.pool.ntp.org

Merlin will be around later , magic wand time.

The RT-AC87U build is broken, and I currently don't have time to look into it.

Thanks for the heads-up Merlin, how badly is it broke ? Is it something we can live with? Which firmware do you recommend reverting to ?

It works for me as far as I can tell. That said, I wouldn't had updated if I'd known this.

Does the error(s) appear on every RT-AC87U or just to some users?

I'm in the pub, and I can't VPN back to my router
I didn't check the VPN server before I went out though

hanks for the heads-up Merlin, how badly is it broke ?

I don't know, the only information I have is the various reports as posted here, and having seen this before when the Quantenna code was out-of-sync with the rest of the firmware code.

No such problems on my AC87U
