380.66 Slower VPN ?

Hey guys,

Since I upgraded my AC88U to the 380.66 firmware, including 380.66_2 I have noticed a reduction in my overall VPN speeds. This has only started since upgrading to the latest firmware.

I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience ?

Cheers.

Mine actually seems faster. Others in the forum have been saying that a reset to defaults has greatly improved their speeds when this happened.

Hmmmm. I also did a full factory reset before and after flashing 380.66 to avoid any possible issues and configured from scratch. I cant see any settings I may have misses to cause the issue. The other thing I noticed is my latency on Speedtest increased from 17 to 115.

Did you use the same server @ speedtest?

I did as well on one router. But a factory reset and restore using the nvram utility got me back to normal. Maybe try a 10 minute shut down of the modem and router. Then, bring the modem up and let it run a few minutes, followed by the router.

BTW, I always get 3x faster speed test results from http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest when compared to speedtest.net.

Tjanks, will give that a go. It was my next port of call and Speedtest is not always a great benchmark so will give dsl reports a go.

Still is slow on dsl reports after powering everything down. Even called my ISP to do a line check lol but still slow with a a high ping. Hmmm

Oh magic, I use Torguard as it happens so I will be sure to look through those links to see if that helps.
