Hi. Just wondering if anyone has tried to setup a a printer on their Android smartphone when that printer is connected to the ASUS rt-68u USB Printer server? I realize the idea may not be supported by Asus as they don't mention it in their help screens but I was giving it a go anyway.
I had no problem setting up the printer manually on my windows 10 and then also on my chromebook devices. The challenge with the chromebook was finding a driver for the old HP LaserJet 3030 but I eventually found one on the chromebook list that worked. One calls that the usual challenge with printing and Linux.
If it is not doable on a smartphone I can live with that. I tried various HP printer apps from the Google play store but it seems none of them allow me to enter a port number in the IP address or specify a queue name. Has anyone tried developer mode maybe?
Thanks for any input.
Ed
