386.14_2 - RT-AC86U - Web UI Inaccessible After Upgrading

I've searched and can't find any hits for this. I just upgraded my RT-AC86U to 386.14_2 from 386.13_2, and now the web UI won't load. It's throwing ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in Edge. It's definitely not a timeout. I tried unplugging it, draining the caps, and repowering, but no change. The hardware itself does appear to be functioning normally despite this.

Anyone else experienced this?

I think a few folks here have, I'd say first try and clear your Browser Cache (or ty a different Browser e.g. Chrome, Firefox), then maybe try https:/192.168.X.1:8443 in case you turned on secure access by mistake / forgot ?

Can't access router throught http://router.asus.com

Yep, cleared cache and just tried 8443 for good measure (I definitely had it set to 443 before). No joy. My tin foil hat persona wonders if this is some kind of obsolescence nudge, as in upgrade yo shid.

haha... I'll feel bad if it gets fixed now... maybe try router.asus.com (or was it asusrouter.com) in case the pesky 192.168.1.1 changed to 192.168.50.1 as the default in later firmware?
