New Around Here
My 5 GHz band has been broken for a while and I was optimistic updating to latest Merlin would fix it. Unfortunately it did not and I've spent countless hours, rebooted wireless hundreds of times, and rebooted the router many many times to no avail. I've tried everything I could find online and I'm pretty close to just buying a new router but I figured I'd make one last attempt to get it working by posting here.

My latest attempt included trying to reset the router to factory defaults but that does not seem to be possible. I've tried holding the reset button, holding the WPS button while powering on the router, and resetting from Administration menu but nothing works.

Has anyone recently encountered this problem and successfully resolved it? My 5 GHz says "Current control channel 0" which I figured might be related to the problem but I've been unable to get it to say anything else. The last time I did a reboot the only available control channel is 0 so I'm not sure if it's actually gotten worse (attached screenshot of current state).

Any suggestions or questions are welcome. Thanks.

I had that problem(wireless channel 0), if I remember correctly. I tried several things, but can't remember what solved it. I remember that I used Asus Router app to turned off then on 5GHz wireless as well as using Wireless->Professional tab in WebUI to turn off/on the router. And I also rebooted the router and repeated processes again as it wasn't working the first time. However, I don't remember if I did anything else.

If a full factory reset (without reloading a saved config) does not fix it, you might want to turn the device in for repair

Not an option. It is 3+ years old. Looks like I'll be buying a new one and just keep this one as a spare.
