5GHz channels in final builds

My question is why every 5GHz channels above 48 is removed from the final builds? I have problems if I using my router on these lower channels. I have a wireless headphones using 5GHz wireless, and there's some interference if I use the low (36-64) wifi channels. If I using higher channels via beta firmware (100-140) the problem is gone. Could you just put the higher channels to able to selected in the final builds please? Thanks.

I think this may have to do with a regulatory issues - IIRC, not all channels are available in all countries.

Of course, I could be completely off my rocker. It happens.

The official fw has more channels than this. Anyway, why a cfw needs to be limited in this way? Is it illegal or something? I don't think so.

The channels offered are the same, I do not make any change to them. The only reason why you might see different channels is if Asus changed this in newer firmware releases that those 380.65 is based on - the latest GPL from Asus has too many bugs for me to use it.

There's a lot of channels to select in 380.65 beta3, but in the final build has only 4-5 channels.

What router model are you using?

Try a reset back to factory defaults, do a minimal setup and see if the channels are there. You can use John's NVRAM tool to do a backup/restore afterwards.

Beta 3 was based on GPL 4180, final is based on GPL 3831.
