86U FTP transfer speeds. Merlin better than Stock?

Good afternoon all,

I'm currently running stock firmware and wanted to know if anyone has and comparisons between Merlin and Stock when it comes to WiFi Lan transfer speeds to a HDD attached to the router.

It’s going to be largely the same. From what I’ve read on these forums the USB transfer speed is mainly router CPU speed dependent.

Ok, cool. I'm being a greedy git really as using an FTP client on my phone I'm getting 70MBs writing to the attached HDD and around the same downloading.
Always in search of more lol
