86U - Problems after power failure

After an unexpected power failure the router came back up and operates generally as normal. However, can no longer connect as a VPN client on any of the profiles including Nord and PIA. Resetting to default goes through the motions but does not actually reset. Also, restoring to factory via GUI goes through the motions but does not actually reset. Any suggestions are welcome.

Have you tried a WPS reset? Hold that button down for 10-30s and see if it will reset the router

Thanks for this. I was trying to avoid this, but did eventually bite the bullet. What was interesting is that I then tried restoring a backup taken after the power failure. The VPN configs still did not work but I was then able to reset them all to default. After setting up the VPN client profiles again they work. So all seems to be back to normal so far as I can tell.
