AC-R68U cannot upgrade firmware

I'm trying to upgrade to 384.6, but after I upload file, it still shows 384.5. And router didn't get reboot at all.

I tried to enter recover mode (by holding reset while turn on router), and see power led flashing. However, after set my computer IP address to 192.168.1.100, cannot ping 192.168.1.1

Please help me.

It's really wired that I can upgrade till this latest release. I think something changed in 354.0.

Q: Why can't I update my (modded) TM-AC1900 firmware?
A: Because you are running Asuswrt-Merlin on an UNSUPPORTED model, and Asus recently changed the firmware validation process to prevent such a thing. You will have to revert back to the original TM-AC1900. Beyond that, you're on your own.
