New Around Here
Hi.
I just upgraded to this firmware on my AC3200 from an earlier one, but now I cant seem to get full download speed.
It caps out about 350mbit/s down. Its the same on all cable connected computers. I still get full 500 upload.
I get full speed download speed when I plug the computer into the modem. I have not enabled any traffic management like QoS or that stuff.
WAN Acceleration is on auto.
Any ideas?

might be the nat type? what version were you running before? what is your nat type?

Nco83; which version did you apply and did you rebuild all of your settings from scratch? It can make all the difference. And to think I'm unhappy with 50Mbs down...

I think it was 380 something.
Not sure if I did a full reset this time, but I think I did. I'll try that first atleast.

Newest if 384.6 beta; we're on 384.5, stable on our 3200, no issues.

Chief,
He has 500mb/s service. Merlin deprecated his custom nat type. Auto will work i think only if you aren't doing traffic monitoring in which case it disables hardware based nat.

You may be hitting the limits of what can be done with home based equipment. Do you have traffic monitoring enabled? Does it say ctf is enabled? what is the cpu at when you are doing the speed test?

Make sure that CTF is enabled which means disabling every feature that may disable it when its set to auto.

auilani; What's with your Chief, tag directed toward this handle? Non sequitur, you know the rules about baiting. If there's a legitimate question re a typo, or if you (or OP) wishes to start a different thread to elicit assistance in choosing a model more appropriate for his 500 Mb service, by all means you can start another thread. There is a better way to ask if anyone's reply contained a typo; ask the listed handle for clarification, without assumptions. The typo wasn't caught in editing; is now corrected; to read 384.5. (Anyone using 374 would have security problems). All of OPs posts were read and replied to, as far as the small jest re 500 Mb vs 50 Mbs, it wasn't an issue, unless OP took offense, and wasn't directed to your handle. The RT-AC3200 isn't going to deliver 600 Mbs regularly. There's one other Asus router and other solutions that can help, but that's not what he asked. If there's no more legitimate helpful suggestions directed to helping OP, the moderator should close this thread. End of line.
