AC56U cannot overlock

AC56U with Merlin's .40 f/w (latest stable)

nvram get clkfreq
reports 800,533

nvram set clkfreq=1200,800
nvram commit && reboot

...reboots, all online, ..... log back into router .....

nvram get clkfreq reports 800,533
reports 800,533

tried several times, no effect. Overlock not working, Ideas?

No guarantee it will work... I would stop unless you want to brick your router (this model is very moody).

already bricked twice, well almost... firmware couldnt be uploaded after a crash and bootloop

had to hard reset and piss around with ssh

so not a complete brick now
