AC66U — SDA errors / Torrents aren't downloading

New Around Here
Hi guys,

I have a problem with my AC66U — latest firmware from Merlin. A while ago, I started noticing, that after filling the ext3 hard drive connected through USB for about 10-15%, my torrents stop downloading. Something about I/O error. When I check it with fschk, it shows a lot of errors and I'm loosing my torrents after fixing them. I format the drive, install Transmission using Merlin's guide (https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/Installing-Transmission-through-Entware), but after a while it starts again. I flashed several versions of firmware (over the past few months), but the problem appears over and over. Can anyone please, suggest a solution?

To me it sounds like it's time to replace the disk with a new one.
It could also be of interest to test the disk by reformatting and running fsck when connected to a GNU/Linux machine.
