New Around Here
Just installed this firmware on my router.

Have several questions:

1. Is it only possible to update the firmware manually by downloading a new pack from https://www.mediafire.com/folder... or it's possible somehow to have auto update? :)
2. Channel wise: If I leave it on auto it gives me ch 6, which is not the best option! Ch 11 is the best for me at the moment (using inSSIDer). Big difference by speed tester. So, automatic mode doesn't work very good then?
3. My 5 Ghz network works fine: I have 50-60 Mbps download speed and 60-70 upload speed. However, my 2.4 Ghz gives me only 20 Mbps and 30 accordingly.

How can I improve my 2.4 Ghz. Speed depends on ch quite a lot in my case. A lot of other routers around (live in apartment).

My internet package is 250 Mbit/s. I have always 150+ if connected by Lan cable. What can I get the most by using WiFi in this case?

Thanks in advance!!

1. Yes, no auto update. I'm sure 99.9999% here would not want that.

2. Auto Channel needs some time to find what works best in your environment. But I would pick the best channel myself too.

3. Your 2.4GHz band performance depends on the wireless environment it is in. As you state, many other routers around you. It is what it is.

You can play with channels and 20MHz and 40MHz widths, but with that much interference around you the best bet will be 20MHz channel width and the quietest channel in your apartment at the times you use it.

Make sure Hardware Acceleration is enabled to get the most routing speed possible. Things like QoS disable HA, for example. If you're only getting 150Mbps wired, then your current 2.4GHz and 5GHz band performance may be already the most possible in your environment.

Make sure Hardware Acceleration is enabled to get the most routing speed possible....

Could Hardware Acceleration be named something else? I can't find those exact terms anywhere in my RT-AC66U with 376.49_5.
