New Around Here
Dear all!
I have Asus rt68 with the latest Merlin firmware.

Could you advice if there any way to change configuration of built-in ftp server?

1. Home folder for user.
2. Default system message.
3. Limit speed of download.

Thank you a lot in advance.

Most of config options could be read here:
https://security.appspot.com/vsftpd/vsftpd_conf.html

You can put your config in: /jffs/configs/vsftpd.conf or just add your settings in : /jffs/configs/vsftpd.conf.add

Here is guide to get TLS/SSL working.

Hi,
it should be noted that the vsftpd supplied by ASUS is version 2.0.4, which was released in 2010. The latest version of vsftpd is 3.0.2, which is still 2 years old and hasn't been updated since!

I've only updated to v3.0.2 myself because of problems with the old v2.0.4 code, however, the security settings in the v3.x.x code have been updated, which did cause a config update and hassle!

BTW
A ipkg update of vsftpd is in Optware but I didn't try it, as it wasn't v3.x.x.
