AC68U 5Ghz Issues

Hi all,

Since the upgrade to the latest firmware version (376_1663) i have been having issues with my 5ghz sticking to channel 36 with 20mhz as the bandwidth setting, despite being set otherwise . Has anyone else had this issue? I have reset the settings to factory defaults several times and utilized the recovery utility, neither have seemed to solve the issue.

I have noticed that if i set the channel mode to "auto" and the bandwidth to the auto setting it will change the channel, however the bandwidth will not increase beyond 40mhz.

Several people on a separate thread have identified the same issue(bug). I ended up downgrading back to _5656 having run into the same issue.

I use asuswrt merlin's latest 376.44, if wireless mode is N+AC, my 5ghz locked to channel 36 with 20mhz. If I change wireless mode to Auto, it will use channel and width defined in the screen.

I use a Merlin build
I don't change it, I know there is a newer one out but I have tweaked on the NVRAM so I don't want to loose what I got running right now
My 2.4Ghz is 20/40
and my 5Ghz is 20/40/80
change firmware builds
Of course I don't see all the channels on here and I don't care
I use 36 with control auto
