Accessing LAN client when connected to OpenVPN Server

Good morning,
I have set-up an OpenVPN server (using TUN) on my RT-AC87U with 384.13_1, and I can access it without any problem from a remote W10 PC client.
When connected, I can ssh (via putty) to the router (192.168.1.1) and I can access my W10 & W8.1 client using RDP.
So far so good.

But I cannot access a my access point (a Netgear WNR3500Lv2 installed with Tomato) that has 192.168.1.100 static ip. (I can of course access it if I use one of my Windows PC connected via RDP).

What am I missing so that I can directly access it via ssh like I do for the router ?

Thanks,
GS

I’m guessing the AP has no default gateway set or has it set to something other than the router LAN IP?

The AP won’t know how to route back to the VPN subnet on the TUN interface without having the default GW set as the router 192.168.1.1.
