New Around Here
Open DNS is a great organization. One of the functions that it can perform is to create a log of web addresses that were accessed by an individual MAC from the router connected to my LAN.
What I would like is to not use Open DNS and just to log into my control panel for my router and then see the actual names of the web addresses that people on my network (my kids) are looking at.
I can get the ip addresses on my Netgear but it would be great to see the name. For example www badsite com.
If you would put that as one of the filters I would use that immediately and definitely exclude routers that do not do that.
Now, I have to go to D-Link, Netgear, etc and then download the user manual for that exact model to see the detail of what is recorded in the "log section" for a router I may purchase. Just ip addresses with numbers does not help me that much.
Thanks for reading this.
