Adding a Netgear GS108 to my network questions

Hi, I needed to unbox my GS108 last week to add in my old NAS as a secondary backup. This is only connected to my 1st Asus AC68u to put both NAS's and my UPS on the network. As this switch has 16gb bandwidth would I benefit running it direct to the AC68 to link up my wired equipment including the 2nd AC68U to take the load off the router?

Moving traffic off the router's switch may lower heat a little. But it doesn't reduce processor load for local (non Internet) traffic.
