I just bought an Asus RT-AC68U. I installed the newest asuswrt-merlin build on it (RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_376.49_5.trx) and set up the router on my network.
During setup and even now when I use the admin UI, httpd crashes frequently. When this happens, connections to the router on port 80 are refused. Also, I can ssh to the router, and see (using netstat) that there is no longer a listener on port 80. I enabled serving the UI over SSL on port 8443, but httpd on that port crashes too.
I can restart httpd by sshing to the router and running "service restart_httpd," and that brings back the UI, but it usually crashes again shortly thereafter.
This seemed to start after I changed the DHCP server range from 192.168.0.0/24 to 10.8.0.0/24, but that's also one of the first things I did. I'm not sure if it's related.
I reset all the settings on my router and set it up again from scratch, but I still see the same symptoms.
Has anyone else seen this or know how to fix it? Thanks.
