AI Mesh not showing wired devices

I've recently purchased 2x XD4S nodes as AIMesh units to pair with my AX86u.

I cannot hardwire so I have them setup via wifi backhaul. I have plugged in devices to both units and finding that although they have a connection they don't seem to monitor/appear in my networking map in the Asus GUI. Is there anyway to troubleshoot or to get them to detect? All units are running up to date firmware.

Client listing in the ASUSWRT webUI is historically not 100% reliable... rejoice when it is, ignore it when it is not.
