AI mesh switch and router placement

Hello I live in a three-story house and have main router located on the 2st floor. Coax cable comes in on floor 2 (computer room) . I know i can use AImesh.
Does is good idea to add mesh node on the 1floor and another one in the basement (TV room) for maximum WIFI?

If there is a wired connection between them, you'll get the maximum wifi speed, but if it's wireless backhaul, it's half the speed and limited by distance.

2nd floor is wired, but the other no.

I would start with 1 node on the first floor and see if that will cover the basement.

Tri-band routers will have more advantages for wireless backhaul, because there will be separate frequency bands for transferring data between nodes without interfering with the WiFi you are using.

But tri-band routers are an over-investment in my opinion.

You can try normal asus routers and see if they can meet your needs, if not, then consider buying the tri-band routers.
