I am currently running a AiMesh network with an RT-AX88U as the primary router and a RT-AX58U as a node and it works great except that I can no longer update the firmware of either as the update fails.

I did however find a fix for that
and will run the fix.

What I am looking for is a list of routers compatible with my current router(s) so that I can add another node to my network. I know I have seen a loist but am unable to find it today.

TIA
Dj

Why not another RT-AX58U if you know it works well with your main RT-AX88U?

I am hoping to keep costs down and buy something used. Right now I cant find any used 58U's available. Perhaps I am missing the point. Are all ASUS routers that support AiMesh compatible with each other?

According to Asus - yes. The reality is a bit different. If you start mixing hardware running different firmware - expect issues and incompatibilities. For example Asuswrt 5.0 main router features won't extend to Asuswrt 4.0 nodes, Broadcom main router may not work well with MediaTek nodes, etc.

Simply have not yet had time to work on it but I will report if that fix works.

Thanks
D.
