AiMesh Drops all Wifi - reboot only solution

Shuffling6544

New Around Here
Hello,

I have been tracking a problem with my AiMesh network since 2024-October or November. Before that date the AiMesh router with one AiMesh node had been working fine for 6 months. Occasionally the Wifi radio stops, dropping all wifi client. The only way to resolve is to reboot from the GUI. I have finally captured the log file at the time the problem occurred. Log file attached.
AiMesh Node RT-AC66U B1 ( 40:B0:76:35:35:?? )
Current Version : 3.0.0.4.386_51729
AiMesh Router RT-AX55
Current Version : 3.0.0.4.386_52332-gfbf3b9c
Is this something that I can log better or some setting I can change to fix? I am no longer using WPA2/WPA3 Personnel, only WPA2 Personnel. Also now have scheduled reboots every day at 5am.

Thanks!

Cancel the reboots.
Set the 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz auto channel
Set the 5 GHz to 80 MHz auto channel no DFS
Leave all the AiMesh settings at defaults
Use Dual Band SmartConnect .
The AC66U B1 can only do 80 MHz and no DFS so do not try to do more

Thanks for the suggestions.
> Cancel the reboots.
I will cancel the reboots. This was needed to help clear the problem automatically for times when I was not available to manually reboot when the issue occured.
> Set the 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz auto channel
Yes, this is how it has always been set
> Set the 5 GHz to 80 MHz auto channel no DFS
I have now changed 5GHz from 20 MHz to 80 MHz. Though there is no DHS setting in the GUI. The Router is RT-AX55, and AC66U is the mesh node. Does that makes a difference?
> Use Dual Band SmartConnect .
This is the first thing I turned off when the problem was first started to occur. It seemed to be one more thing to complicate my situtation. Is this really recommended? 99% of my clients connect to the 2GHz. Only the Apple TV is set to use 5GHz.
> The AC66U B1 can only do 80 MHz and no DFS so do not try to do more
This is now changed to 80 MHz for the 5GHz band . There is no DFS option.

Not supported on your AC router.

None of your routers supports DFS range.
Thanks for confirming.

So I am back to the details of my original post which does have a lot of errors in the log file at the time of the critical failure. Is there any resource that can help me analyze the log file, and ultimately configure the routers to avoid problem? One of the firmware updates which rolled out in November or December changed something since all was well before that time. Or just simple hardware degradation.

Other that reboot, reset, reconfigure, report to Asus, wait for update… nothing much you can do.
