So in looking at my system log after reboots, i see this:

Service "<host_name>" (/tmp/avahi/services/alexa.service) successfully established.

I searched about the Alexa service, but everything i find, is about people **wanting** it to work, but having issues with their IoT devices NOT connecting.

I have the opposite concern. i DONT want the Alexa Skill or ANY Alexa services running AT ALL on my router if at all possible.
As far as I know, the Alexa Skill module shouldnt be doing anything, as I havent set it up or clicked the "Link" button to start an activation code process, on that page in the router UI.

Anyway to shut this service down & keep it from restarting, if it IS indeed running, based on the line quoted above?

Thanx!

Well it depends on whether you need any of the other avahi services, i.e. time machine and itunes server. If not you could shutdown the entire avahi daemon.
Code:
service stop_mdns
