Available in two styles, the Apollo and Apollo Pro Wi-Fi cameras include 10x digital zoom, high 3.5 dBi antenna, and night vision LEDs. Remote management and monitoring for the cameras are available via Amped Wireless’ IOS and Android compatible Apollo app.
Between the two models, differentiating features include the Apollo’s 80-degree view angle versus the Apollo Pro’s 110-degree angle. Also, the Pro version adds two-way voice communication.
Though the Amped Wireless Apollo Wi-Fi cameras include a free 30-day cloud recording trial, subscription plans for cloud-based storage service are available for event based recordings at $3 per month/$30 per year for 100 events and $6 per month/$60 per year for 500 events.
Pre-orders for the new Apollo cameras are made on the Amped Wireless website, and products will be shipped out in mid-October, while stores will start selling them shortly after. The Apollo (LRC100) will cost $149.99, while the Apollo Pro (LRC200) will sell for $179.99.
