That seems unlikely caused by an amtm update. Rather your USB device got unmounted or is unresponsive.

amtm 4.9.3 is now available

What's new

  • The Entware installer will now ask if the @maurer backports-mirror should be used or not on routers with an End-of-Life Entware repository. Thanks to @Tarek Yag for reporting.
  • The dynamic LED scheduler will now attempt to re-download location data three times if one of the core variables is missing. If all three fail it will disable the LED scheduler and LEDs will stay on. This event is logged to the syslog. Thanks to @maghuro for reporting.
  • Some fixes/additional text here and there, including adding the full path to the Entware grep binary. Thanks to @pdc for reporting.

Updated 10 minutes ago and all the settings that I am using works as expected. Thanks.

I updated this morning, and my sunrise/sunset times are off by an hour. This is most likely due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time at 02:00 this morning. Manually updating times based on location does not help.

Everything works on my setup. Daylight savings also worked correctly with last night's switchover.

Location data changes the daylight savings time tomorrow for your location:
Code:
"date":"2024-11-03","sunrise":"07:39:25","sunset":"17:53:09"
"date":"2024-11-04","sunrise":"06:40:43","sunset":"16:51:53"

Thanks. A day late is not worth worrying about!

I failed to notice as I was in Costa Rica last week when ours switched. I just checked: Ours is one day off too.
This may be a glitch in the sunrisesunset.io code 😂

Interesting. If I enter location into sunrisesenset.io webpage, times are correct for today. Must be a bug in their API implementation.

Even more interesting is the inconsistency on the sunrisesunet.io webpage for the same coordinates:

The USB device is mounted and recognised by the router.
I also reformatted it directly from the router to see if there might be a problem (although until 29/10 everything had more or less worked properly), I installed ‘Download Master’ on it and it works properly
This is the result if I try to upgrade amtm:

For starters, Download Master and Entware CANNOT be installed at the same time. It‘s one or the other. Maybe that DL Master clogs your download bandwidth. Either way, your router cannot reaolve the domains. Look in the Syslog for Dnsmasq clues.

Fixed itself (or at least much closer) with today's automatic sunrise/sunset times update. It still appears to be one day off, but I can live with that, at least until daylight savings time returns.

Try re-formatting the USB thru PC 1st as NTFS? Once done you format thru AMTM again. If the issue continues try another USB or use a SSD instead.

Some of the steps below might have changed but it provides good info:

Many thanks!
Uninstalled Download Master, reformatted from amtm the hard drive and now it works!
Installed Entware and also AdGuard Home!
Thanks for the support!

What's new

  • Replaced ping tests with curl for ep Entware Server selection, streamlined server search code logic. Read here why: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/is-curl-the-new-ping.92831/
  • Adds the following Entware mirrors to the shared amtm whitelist: mirrors.bfsu.edu.cn, mirrors.cernet.edu.cn, mirrors.cqupt.edu.cn, mirrors.nju.edu.cn
  • Additional checks and auto-corrections in lc LED control.

Do only Chinese Entware mirrors exist?

(All new ones end with .cn)
How about my mirror entware.diversion.ch which is situated in Confoederatio Helvetica land, the Latin name for Switzerland.
The Chinese mirror I used so far (mirrors.bfsu.edu.cn) I learned, is one of three behind mirrors.cernet.edu.cn that will redirect requests to a mirror site based on Geo-IP Net's database.
