Anyone noticed leds not working on their device?

I just noticed that some leds stopped working on my AX58Uv2.
When it boots only the switch leds light up, randomly I can see that WAN or 5G WiFi led is on or blinking on activity, never seen power and 2.4G led to be on so far.
Obviously, I already tried factory reset.

It doesn't bother me that much as long the device does what it is supposed to do... but well, it's a weird issue.

I think I have seen posts that they tend to get dimmer and dimmer. On my 68U, the ones that tend to be on most all of the time are dimmer than one for a port that is only occasionally used.
Little hard to tell from this picture, but the port 2 LED is actually much brighter than the others.

What is "RT-AX58U v2 stock + custom scripts" in your signature?
I'm using my scripts from asuswrt-scripts repo plus Pi-hole Entware package.

Seems like this is on point, some are brighter than others here as well

Most of the LEDs on my RT-AX58U V2 did not work

Resoldered them and they now all work, including the WAN when up.

I am curious if you took pictures of the board and components ***AND*** if the factory solder was in such poor condition in other areas that they needed reflowing for micro fractures in the solder (as in, were other areas that you could see, were in need of your special attention)???

The reason I put it here is that I initially thought it might be a firmware issue.

No pictures and the LEDs are so small I could not really tell.

Hard to tell as I got it from Goodwill already with the LED issue, but it can't be that old being AX and version 2 of the model (RT-AX58U)
Since you don't know its origin, it's possible that it was "climate abused" with high environmental temperatures, causing the weakened solders. People will hide routers in cabinets with little to no ventilation.

That is possible, but the rest of the unit works fine.

Here are some other instances
"The router works fine but the activity leds started going bad after a year! Only 3 of the 8 are working."

"When i do turn the router off then on the 4 lan ports flash white and then nothing"

"I'm having the same issue. Some of the LEDs were running when on stock (not all though)"

I kinda wonder how does something like this even happen.. weak solder at the factory?
I have my unit placed on a shelf around 2 meters from the ground, it has access to air from all sides.

While all the lights worked after the repair, one started playing up after just a day. This was fixed by adding some extra solder, so I suspect that not enough solder was used originally (I used flux throughout).

Okay, so it's best left to your own web searches, but issues with blue LEDs are well known. Yup they do just tend to fail earlier and more commonly than other LEDs!

It was done for fun. I still have this router with white LEDs, looks better.

Ah, but the LEDs did not fail, all lights came up after resoldering the originals.
